we were drawn with pencil and paper and erased
that’s why the lines between us are blurred
in permanent ink you’ll replicate their faces
and you’ll never forget all the things that make you hurt
Should stop getting so angry when people ask if i'm okay
and i should stop getting so angry when other people feel something
I’ve become so embarrassed by the things that I’m so proud of
And I’ve become so embarrassed by the things I love
Should stop getting so angry when people ask if i'm okay
and i should stop getting so angry when other people feel something
I’ve become so embarrassed by the things that I’m so proud of
And I’ve become so embarrassed by the things I love
I should stop getting so angry when people ask if i'm okay
and i should stop getting so angry when other people feel something
I’ve become so embarrassed by the things that I’m so proud of
And I’ve become so embarrassed by the things I love
Should stop getting so angry when people ask if i'm okay

well if it’s widely known
then widely must not apply to me
and if it’s
widely shown
then what should i think of that
if it’s
manageable
of course i’d do it for you
and if it’s
intelligible
i don’t know if you’d get that from me
well if it’s widely known
then widely must not apply to me
and if it’s
widely shown
then what should i think of that
if it’s
understandable
then understand what they want from you
and if it’s
something you know
then you’re in the wrong place
well if it’s widely known
then widely must not apply to me
and if it’s
widely shown
then what should i think of that
and if it’s
understandable
then what do you want from me
if it’s comprehensible
then you’re asking the wrong person
well it’s widely known
i wish it was widely cared about
and if it’s
widely shown
then what should i think of that
and if you’re
sure you want this
then what do i want to answer
if it’s comprehensible
then you’re asking the wrong person

When I talk about it, it carries on
Reasons only knew
When I talk about it, Aries or
Treasons all renew
Beg me to talk about it
I could stand to prove
If we can get around it
I know that it's true
Well, I talked about it, carried on
Reasons only knew
But it's you
I fell into
Well, I talked about it, carries on
Reasons only knew
When I talk about it, Aries or
Treasons all renew
Beg me to talk about it
I could stand to prove
If we can get around it
I know that it's true
Well, I talked about it, put it on
Never was it true
But it's you
I fell into
Well I talked about it, put it on
Never was it true
But it's you
I fell into
I fell into
I fell into

Someone's always coming around here, trailing some new kill
Says I've seen your picture on a hundred dollar bill
What's a game of chance to you, to him is one of real skill
So glad to meet you
Angeles
Picking up the ticket shows, there's money to be made
Go on and lose the gamble, that's the history of the trade
Did you add up all the cards left to play to zero
And sign up with evil
Angeles?
Don't start me trying now
'Cause I'm all over it
Angeles
I could make you satisfied in everything you do
All your secret wishes could right now be coming true
And be forever with my poison arms around you
No one's gonna fool around with us
No one's gonna fool around with us
So glad to meet you
Angeles

80s films
03:11
|
|||
the movie theatre was playing 80’s films last week
so all the aging 80’s kids can remember when they peaked
and keep relieving their heydays of michael jackson and cheesy effects
one day we’ll all be aged and dated just like those movies
and everyone will feel so much younger than we used to be
then we’ll cycle back around to being in style once again
one day we’ll all get old
i hope that i get old in style
one day we’ll all get old
i hope we all get old in style
they said i’m wise beyond my years
i wish i was wise beyond my fears
of becoming like those adult teens
still stuck in the 1970’s
i’ll have nostalgia for sitting in my own willful prison because what’s the point it leaving your bedroom in the current day
Things will change around us
The world will change around us
But I hope that we’ll always be friends
the last thing that i want to be
is another one of those woeful things
that i complain about to my friends
one day we’ll all get old
i hope that i get old in style
one day we’ll all get old
i hope we all get old in style
one day we’ll all get old
i hope that i get old in style
but i’m still scared i won’t get old at all

Tyler (Kiwi jr. Cover)

There's a crowd gathering
Outside our apartment
Because they know my history
And they like our rent
So I have to prove it
To both you and the landlord
Hell yeah, the new game is insane
And I'm stuck keeping the old score
Carry me, Tyler, I'm caught in between
Off-colour comics on a slow green
And I know I can make it on my own
But sometimes you don't have to leave it alone
I begged you not to leave too soon
You said, "Call me Rabbit Fighter"
I was falling apart in the green room
While you drank half the headliner’s rider
Now they've called the bikers off
There's no threat of violence soon
You work for Microsoft
I scrape the wallpaper off in the new guest bedroom
Look it up, Tyler, it's not on the page
Like famous actors from your parents’ age
And yeah, I know I can make it on my own
Sometimes you don't have to leave it alone
Bury me, Tyler, but like it or not
They dug King Richard up in a parking lot
And I know I can make it on my own
But sometimes you don’t have to leave it alone
No, sometimes you don’t have to leave it alone
Oh, sometimes you can’t buy back what you sold

Here I stand head in hand
Turn my face to the wall
If she's gone I can't go on
Feeling two-foot small
Everywhere people stare
Each and every day
I can see them laugh at me
And I hear them say
Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away
How can I even try
I can never win
Hearing them, seeing them
In the state I'm in
How could she say to me
Love will find a way
Gather round all you clowns
Let me hear you say
Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away

I thought I felt your shape but I was wrong,
Really all I felt was falsely strong.
I held on tight and closed my eyes,
It was dumb; I had no sense of your size.
It was dumb to hold so tight.
But last night on your birthday in the kitchen,
My grip was loose, my eyes were open.
I felt your shape and heard you breathing,
I felt the rise and fall of your chest.
I felt your fall,
Your winter snows,
Your gusty blow,
Your lava flow.
I felt it all:
Your starry night,
Your lack of light.
With limp arms I can feel most of you.
I hung around your neck independently
And my loss was overwhelmed
By this new depth I don't think I ever felt.
But I don't know
My nights are cold.
And I remember a warmth...
I could have sworn
I wasn't alone.

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'

DYING ON BROADWAY

I already said that
Word for word
I’m like a broken record
Only slightly less musical
Transferring my thoughts from the void
Like I know what’s going on
In case you weren’t aware
I have no idea what’s going on
They said that I’d be broken by the time I was whatever age
I’m afraid headed down that path
I’m afraid there’s no going back
They said that I was ever so composed
Composing the next sentence so I can feel at home again
They said that they trust me
Well I don’t trust me enough
To not get other people’s lives messed up
I could tell the entire world something more easily than i could tell my friends
And every few seconds one era ends and another begins
And sleeping less and less and not getting up in the morning sounds better and better everyday
I’m lying im awake
They said that they trust me
Well I don’t trust me enough
To not get other people’s lives messed up
They said that they trust me
Well I don’t trust me enough
To not get so caught up in myself
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
Do I even need to be saying
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
Do I even need to be saying
I’m sorry

do you like performance now you can do it all the time
no matter whether the record stops or not you can never say goodbye
do you like performance now you can do it all the time
no matter whether the record stops or not you can never say goodbye
wow how profound and correct i’m gonna do it anyway
i guess i lied about the things that i used to say
wow how profound and correct i’m gonna do it anyway
to be human is to be a fraud if that’s the way it’s supposed to be
my breath is fogging up the window to my soul rapidly
till you bust into my house and take recordings liberally
i don’t plan on that ever happening literally
but i don’t think that it needs to happen literally to be true
my soul is up for sale
half of a cent at a time
and no matter whether the record stops i can never say goodbye
my soul is up for sale
half of a cent at a time
and no matter whether the record stops i can never say goodbye
no matter whether the record stops or not you can never say goodbye
do you like performance now you can do it all the time
and you can never say goodbye
